Phuket day 2 (1 Agustus 2008)

Sama kayak postingan sebelumnya, ini tulisan kozzy juga...

If there were exotic beaches scattered around the tropical belt line, Phiphi Island would be one of the best exotic beaches. It was a cloudy morning and I was done eating my Pop Mie with babi in front of the guesthouse. A well uniformed elderly person came to me and ask for “Gouchii.. Mr. Goucchii..” Ah, he’s our Phiphi island driver asking for Mr. Kozzy to come out, ‘coz it’s time to go to the pier. I called out my friends and then we went straight to the dock.

About 8.20 am we arrived at the pier and met the tour guide. He spoke English well and told us some infos about this one day tour. At the dock, we also bought some fish food, ‘coz we were gonna snorkeling on the island.

About 8.45 we went on our boat, number 12 (remember your boat’s number because there would be a lot of boat there), and cruised to the island.

The cloud was so grey. The sun was hidden beneath it. We thought that we would find the green jade sea. But all over the trip to the island, there was no green sea. We used speedboat anyway, don't sit in front of the boat if u can't handle some bouncing and great wind. Or, you would be like this…

Disappointed, that was how I felt. No green sea.. No sun.. Ah, I just came at the wrong time.. But once I arrived, I started to speechless staring at this island..

We first arrived at Maya beach. Here we played for 45 minutes. Enjoying the real exotic green colored water. Swimming, sunbathing, etc. Oh it was more than fun! About 40 min later the beach was getting crowded by other tours. So, we sailed to some other spots: Monkey Bay and went snorkeling at Viking Cave until noon. Here, we swam with fish, real fishes here! From Nemo to Dory; hundreds kinds of anemones; school of fish; plenty of bulu babi with purple-orange-metallic colored between their spiky-spine, you can enjoy the wonderful underwater view here.. So great!

Thanks to the crystal water, we can see the fish clearly

Sharp on the noon, we went to Phiphi Don. We had our super extra large lunch at one restaurant there. The food was unrestricted, so you could ask for more if you’re still hungry.

We walked around this island. It was filled with some shops; you could found second book shops here; internet spots; etc. But not the 7-11 haha..

After about 1 hour, we went back to the boat, and we sailed to the north part of Phiphi Island. Here, we found nice beach with nice and soft colored sands. We also snorkeled here too but the view was not as good as the Viking cave had.

Still, we could find thousands of bulu babi with less anemones and also some school of fish. Besides, so many reefs were scattered at one side of this beach, be careful. Here we also rented 2 seats costs 100 baht. You could order some juice and fruits if you want too.

And about 3 o’clock, after the sun burned our skin, the boat picked us up. We were heading back to Patong.

That evening, we were separated into some groups. I, Krishna , and Dewi ate at Korean Restaurant. Meanwhile others ate at one bar. I and Dewi decided to sleep early that night. Krishna went to the internet rents and the rest went back to Bangla Road .

Resume:

-12 baht for breakfast

- 4 baht for fish food

- 23 baht for chair rental

- 100 baht for tips for tour guide

- 250 baht for Korean food (I treat my 2 friends)
