My Short Trip to Tanjung Lesung

In the end of the year of 2008, it was a huge gift that I was in dentistry. Why? Because I had HOLIDAY for about 1,5 weeks. In the meantime, some of my “de’ koass” friends had to attend some class or badly had some night shifts.

On December 29th, I went to Tanjung Lesung. I heard from some people that it had attractive beach. Tanjung Lesung is located in the west of Java Island. If you’re familiar with, Anyer or Carita beach, Tanjung Lesung is about 1-1,5 more hours ride to go from Carita. It took 4 hours car trip from Tangerang. You could get there by took the highway and get out at Serang Timur Gate or Cilegon Barat Gate. If you’re out from Serang Timur, you would pass some small villages, with the down-and-up hill road. And if you’re out from Cilegon Barat, you would pass Anyer (Sol Elite Marbella) and Carita (Lippo) beach, with the beach view on your window of course. I thought using Serang Timur was faster than the other one.

The Cottage

Well, Tanjung Lesung is an area where cottages are built close to the beach. Each cottage is constructed quite far from each other. So you can find some peace of time and far from the word crowded here.

I stayed at Bora-Bora, the name of the cottage, which had tropic-Thai-interior design. It rather small than any other cottage but it was more than enough to hold three families inside. It had 3 bedrooms. Each had 2-3 beds, aircon, and a roofless bathroom inside. Bora-bora also had kitchen, dining room, living room, and small gazebo.

The roofless bathroom.. sweet ^^

For the prize, on a high season, it costs Rp 2-3.000.000,00 per night. But, the owner gave reduction to us for a very pleasant price. :D Yippieee…

The Beach..

Tanjung Lesung was one of the loveliest beaches that I’ve ever been. First, it was far from the word crowded. The sand was quite soft and clean (I didn’t find any Sabun Cream Ekonomi here, like I did in Nusa Dua). The sun was so perfect. The waves were not too big at the noon. Well, maybe they didn’t provide long chairs for sunbathing; there were lots of clamshells and some prickly rocks around the beach; the waves & winds were too big in the morning and evening; and yes, unfortunately, it was rainy season. The weather was so unpredictable. One minute it was shinning, next minute it was heavy raining. But overall, I gave 3,5 stars for this beach from 5 stars.

Here are some pictures that I took for you. I took this picture on my first day. The sun was wonderful. It was 2 o’clock.

The sea, the sand, and the sky.

So many sea shells were scattered around.

Nice spot for naked sunbathing, eh?!—nobody’s around!

Quite crystal water..

Just you and the universe.

The Beach Club

Still around Tanjung Lesung Resort, there was beach club. You might take your ass on banana-boating, or (maybe) snorkeling here. Here are some pictures that I took on the same day. It was 5 o’clock.

There was “Si Unyil” shooting on the dock.

He was fishing and he got nothing ;D

My families were posing at the dock.

It’s a bird!

One more hour to the sunset.

The Sunset

Since it was located near Ujung Kulon (far west), it was a very good view for the sunset.

Here are the pictures. It was 15 minutes to 6 pm.

View to the West.

View to the East side.

Some people were still playing around.

Last words

Well, well, well… It’s more than a “well”. It’s truly more than fine beach. I did, really had the time of my life here. I recommend you this place for your next short holiday. ^^
