Batam - Singapore - Bintan Tour 2007 (part 3)

Day 6

I remember, It was Sunday. We woke up early in the morning. We continued our trip to Bintan Island. Ci Nancy also joined us to go to Bintan. About 7 a.m. we left the house to go to Telaga Punggur Harbour. We chose “Baruna Express Boat” which costed us about 65.000 rupiahs, Batam-Bintan vice versa. The boat trip took about an hour. The sea was calm, the weather was perfect ,making this trip nicer.

At Tanjung Pinang harbour, Ci Ria, Tommy’s relatives too, had already waited for us. She came with her boyfriend (actually now they already get married and have one child). First, they bring us traveling around Tanjung Pinang town. Tanjung Pinang was a nice small town, quite clean compared to Batam or town in Java Island. So sad that I didn’t take any Tanjung Pinang town’s streetscape.

Our next destination was like a fishing bungalow ( I guess…). The bungalow was build in the seaside. We didn’t stay here though, just looking around. So many Singaporean spent their weekend at this place. We could see fish, seaweed and karang. The sea was blue and clear, the sky was clear, it was a really hot day. The view was quite nice. After like an hour looking around and taking pictures, we left this place.

After about 20 minutes driving, we arrived at Trikora Beach. To be honest, this was my most favourite moment from our 9 days trip. Trikora beach is a beautiful beach. White sand, clear blue-ish water, blue sky….awww that was really perfect. At that time, I thought that Trikora beach was the most beautiful beach I ever seen (but that thought was broken after I visited Phi Phi Island hehehe…). That time, It was 12.30 p.m., sun shone brightly but that didn’t stop us to play at the beach. We spent about 3 hours swimming, playing, and teaching Johnny to swim (hahaha…). That was more than fuuuun…. But spending 3 hours in the beach at noon made us having burn, stage 1 precisely. After wash our body, we walked to Gua Maria near the beach. After that, we went back to Tanjung Pinang.

Trip from Trikora to Tanjung Pinang took about almost an hour. After arrived in the town, we searched for the hotel. We had looked for like 4 hotels before deciding stay at ‘I forgot the hotel’s name’. I remember that the hotel rates was Rp. 250.000/night. We only took one room! So, there was 6 boys and Ci nancy in the room. Fortunately, the room was big enough for us and the room was quite comfortable too. I remember that night we didn’t go anywhere but stay at our room.

Day 7

After breakfast and checked out from the hotel, we started our trip. Our first destination was Klenteng Senggarang. To reach there, we must rent a boat first. If we use car, It would take longer time. So, we rent a boat and reach the Klenteng. Klenteng Senggarang was a large klenteng. There were so many Buddha and another ‘Dewa’ statue. We also saw Son Go Kong and his team’s (Journey to the west) statue. We took a lot of pictures here. We had a appointment with Ci Ria in the noon, so we didn’t have much time here. We also must skip Pulau Penyengat unfortunately.

At Kijang, we met Ci Ria and his boyfriend. We had big lunch at a seafood restaurant. We ordered so many menus. Actually, this lunch was Ci Ria’s boyfriend treat (thank you very much hehehe…). After lunch, we visited Kijang town’s Puskesmas. Ci Ria is a doctor and everyday she worked here. The Puskesmas was quite good and clean. It also had in-patient facility. We also visited Ci Ria’s private out-patient clinic.

We didn’t have much time at Kijang town because we must chased the last boat to Batam, so at about 4 p.m. we left Kijang and went to Tanjung Pinang harbour. At Maghrib, we arrived at Batam. At Batam, we dropped Kozzy at Ci Nancy house first because he felt unwell. After that, we shopped at Top 100 store and had dinner at foodcourt near top 100.
